Computer voicemail stating vital I return call ASAP. Insinuated I would be in serious trouble if ignored. Gave private number as 619-324-4159. Ended with "goodbye and God bless." I don't think so!!!
Didn't call back because I knew it was a MAJOR scam. The IRS doesn't use computer-generated voicemail messages to inform you that you have tax problems.

Left a digital message stating it was the IRS. No ref#.Called back,tey never asked my name, my address ir my ss # for verification. Told me they audited my taxed for the last 5 years and I owe the government $4000. They wanted to send me to the restitution department for payment. I never received a letter, which they stated was sent certified mail. They told me that I will be arrested and taken to jail where I will have to pay $1000 to get out. I told them I was contacting the actual 800 IRS #. They haven't called back.
