Caller claimed I owed a magazine company called American Reader Services $1400, but could not give me a phone number or address of this company. When I asked for an account number, he gave me a five digit number I had never heard of before.
The more I pushed for information, the faster this guy wanted to get off the phone.

I switched to my hardwired phone because that gets the best incoming sound, + I couldn't understand s thing they said. Voice was barely hearable.
