Called to our "Do Not Call List" (worthless!) land line, the typical infuriating delay between my "hello" and finally hearing a human. On my THIRD hello, she said this is [firstname] with [company name I didn't recognize], but that was hard to make out because we both were hearing what sounded like someone's outbound call ringing. She gave up and hung up.
Called back the next day using *67 and got a message that the number was/is "not recognized". ANY business or government office (except LEO investigators) that calls from a spoofed or blocked number should be jailed for 6 months and fined $10,000, with half the fine going to the victim called!
