My 11 y/o son received a text from this number that he had won a cruise and not knowing any better he called the number back and once he spoke to a live person she asked for his ss#. This is pretty scary and really pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!

I have no recollection entering any contests for a cruise and have no idea who it is that sent the text. Number and email address aren't familiar to me.

I tried to call it back to make sure they would stop texting me about a "free cruise" and when I asked the lady how in the world they got my number, considering I do not recall entering a contest, she made up some feeble excuse about "someone could have given your number by accident" or "we are connected to many organizations that we could have gotten it from". Neither of these answers explained how I had entered into or won anything. Furthermore, why did they need to ask for my name? If I had entered into a contest, you think I would have put my name with my number- therefore they should have known it and if someone had put down my number by mistake we could have reconciled it right there if the "contest application" had someone else's name on it. They tried to transfer me, I hung up.
