A few days ago, I received a call for CA Senators in my area in the upcoming elections. Seemed like they were getting a feel for the issues and were representing one candidate..... took 20 +++ minutes. I wasn't thrilled by it, but I did go to the guys website and told him the issue that would be a game changer to me, that wasn't covered in the survey.
As it gets closer to the election, there is another type of polling you have to watch out for. Someone above said INFLAMMATORY. The dangerous type of poll is PUSH POLLING.
"What do you know about Candidate A"
"What do you know about Candidate B"
(they ask to make it seem legit and also not to piss off one of their own supporters by "seeming" underhanded)
Then the PUSH comes to SHOVE....
"if you knew Candidate A beat his children / cheated on his wife / is a drunk, whatever, WOULD YOU VOTE FOR CANDIDATE A?".... OF COURSE NOT!!!! They have now poisoned the candidate in your mind, WHICH IS THE INTENT of PUSH POLLING.
I didn't answer this call, nor do I know why they called. They did call twice, two hours apart tonight.
