I received a call from a women named Gloria Williams, who said she lives in Albuquerque NM and needed someone to care for her son and help make arrangements, as she was being transferred by her company to where I lived. She offered to send me a check for $2,650. She said $500 would be to pay me for helping her and the rest was to pay for her expenses for furniture and other items she needed once she arrived in town. The numbers she called from where from NY and VA area codes. The check that I received was from a male and the return address was from CA and the address was to a church. Once I got the check I realized it was fake and this person asked me to send $1300 in a money gram transfer to a guy at an address in Ok. Do not cash any checks from this person, give personal information, or send money. The other number they used was 516-714-5334. This is definitely a scam.
