After me saying "hello" a few times, the caller asked for someone I didn't know. He apologized for bothering me. He seemed to have a thick foreign accent, though not one I recognized.

Caller identifies you by name and claims that your computer is sending out malicious messages.
He then wants you to input some commands he will provide and give him the output.
DO NOT DO ANYTHING HE TELLS YOU TO DO!
As soon as I asked him what and why and told him that I worked for an IT department he hung up the phone.

Said he was with tech support, and my computer was receiving malicious messages, and he could help me. He had my name correct, but when I told him we had given the computer away, he hung up. He had a thick Indian accent and I believe he has called us before.
