Collection agency looking for someone who had my home number before. I have been dealing with these callers for like 3yrs now. Numerous different agency's looking for numerous different people. SIGH.. They buy old debts and don't verify the information. We should be able to sue them for harassment on calling the wrong person with no way to stop them. This company left a message about a claim being filed & that they would have the party arrested. Which of course is illegal. They spoof numbers or use VOIP and use illegal scare tactics. My only option is to pay to have my number changed, just to get another round of collection agencies looking yet again for people who no longer have the number they are calling.
