Received call from telephone number 12/05/14 @ 14:39 Pacific. Did not leave voice mail message. My phone is registered on the DoNotCall.Gov web site. I also have my phone set up with NoMoRobo.Com and my phone rang once and stopped after one ring (indicating a robocall / telemarketer). I input the number on the NoMoRobo.Com web site (the more the merrier I say), I file a DoNotCall.Gov web site complaint, and I file an FCC Form 1088 complaint for each one of these asinine calls. So what is a concerned citizen suppose to do short of changing their home phone number? Isn't this type of activity a form of harassment? I have read on this site and others that when you answer the call and tell the caller "Please place my number on your 'Do Not Call' list" that the caller will just hang up, laugh and hang up, swear and hang up, and call back and harass you with swearing. I use to think people were exaggerating but recently my mother-in-law received a call, asked the caller politely "Please place my number on your 'Do Not Call' list" and the caller said "F*** you", hung up, and proceeded to call back and say "F*** you" and hang up 8 times after that. Can't something be done? Local police don't give a rat's ass, they'll tell you to change your number. Obviously putting yourself on the DoNotCall.Gov web site, on the NoMoRobo.Com web site, and filing FCC Form 1088 complaints do not do any good, the calls just keep on coming. Any ideas people? Should we rally with a CHANGE.ORG or WETHEPEOPLE.ORG post?
