This person called to "inform" us that a tech was going to be sent within an hour or so to cut off our electricity because we hadn't updated information about the account, causing payments to get stuck somewhere in the system. He instructed us to go to our nearest pharmacy (CVS) and purchase a MoneyPak and load it with the amount that was owed for the last 2-3 months. He said to call him once the MoneyPak was purchased (probably to give him the card information) and that when the tech arrived he would write us a check for whatever amount had been loaded on the card (a reimbursement). Obviously that sounded kind of strange so before we did anything we went to our UA and asked. They then confirmed that our account was fine and that the phone call we'd received was a SCAM.
