This sounds like a SCAM. From the many posts, the caller is identifying as representing lots of different companies including St.Jude, Salvation Army, Food For The Hungry, Habitat for Humanity, Eco California, a home improvement
company, Holt International and MDS Communications - a professional fundraising organization for non-profit organizations. However, a couple of weeks ago, people were getting the exact same calls from 877-291-1624, which is a spoofed number.

Just received "THEE" call and of course it's another scam put out by those people who want me to "pay" for info that they advertise as free. How am I supposed to know who or what they are???

no voice just quiet
when I tried to return the call it rang twice and then was followed by 2 beeps and dialtone
would love to know who what and where so we could meet and discuss this in person
also would like to have the device or service provided to them by the phone company that screens and prevents callbacks or other such types of calls that they deem not important enought to merit an answer
