These people have called my family and an ex of mine saying that I needed to call that I have charges against me and that I have one opportunity to call the firm about the chargest against me and that I have officially be notified. I called them at the number I was told to call and was told that I owed money on a payday loan from 2011 that went directly into my account. They refused to send me any paperwork showing that I did in fact owe this money or have this outstanding debt. When I told them it was my legal write for them to furnish paperwork to me showing that this was a legitimate claim I was then told that they didn't have any paperwork that the "locator" had it and I needed to contact them. When the "locator" people called my cell phone (not sure why they called everyone else before calling me, suspicious) they told me that they didn't have the paperwork that Mutual had it and they needed to release it. They just keep going round and about. After talking to both places, the following day they called my sister again and my place of work saying the same thing. My sister told them that I had already gotten a lawyer involved and they would need to contact my lawyer from now on over the matter, they hung up on her. They are major scam artists and everything that they say and do in these calls are illegal. Per the Fair trade act they are not allowed to discuss your debt over the phone with anyone other then you, they are not allowed to threaten you with jail or charges like that, and if you ask for papers showing that the debt is real and the date and time and company that the money was owed to, they have to send that to you.
