I chose "Other" because they don't state whom they are, but from other comments, they are a collection agency and telemarketer.
They call me every single day between 7:00 AM Eastern and 8:45 AM and wake me up. I let it go to my answering machine, but they don't leave a message. I do not have any outstanding debts, so it has to be whomever had my number before I got it. I have had my phone number for almost 2 1/2 years.
They have literally been calling me for 3 months straight 7 days a week. I've reported them to The National Do Not Call Registry.
I don't want to call them back because then they know that someone does actually answer the number, and even if I tell them, I am not the person they are looking for, they will think I am lying just to get out of not paying a debt. They will continue to call. I have my phone number blocked, but they pay a company to let my number show up, so it really isn't any good if your phone provider offers this service so you don't want someone to see your number, but these companies can get to see it. So it really is a waste of money and useless.
I have called companies that I have accounts with, and done dial *82 first, and as soon as the auto answer picks up, the message is able to tell me that they see I have an account with them and them spell out the first 4 letters of my last name. So they know what number I am calling from.
