They are also trying to fake the caller ID. On my caller ID, the number showed a local number which returned to the FAX at the County Jail. We are investigating to see if it was an employee or inmate. Their message said they were from the 'County Clerks Office' and a police officer was attempting to issue me a summons. If I did not call them back by 5pm today at 866-826-2480 the "court" would issue a warrant for my arrest as 'failure to appear'. The case number they gave DOES NOT match any case number the local court uses. Likely their internal number. LOOK PEOPLE - THIS IS ILLEGAL, they can not pretend to be the government. Clearly stated in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. It also states in there that WE (people being harrassed) can seek DAMAGES and as a CLASS we can seek larger damages. If they have contacted you in this way from May 2010 through Jan 2011 (as we only have one year to file suit) please contact me at: stop the harassment (at) hush mail (dot) com. Please remove spaces and use the email at sign and period. I am going to persue with or without others, I am not an attorney, but will be contacting one. Do keep recordings of the calls, caller ID, or any other evidence of the calls.

Left a threatening message for a unknown person on my cell number today. Threatening with a lawsuit if they didnt hear back by the end of the day. And leaving a bogus lawsuit number.

I got a call from someone at this number and she said that they have papers to file with the District Clerk's office if they don't hear back from me within 24 hours.
