I got a call from the same as above today, 2/13/15. It was automated and told me to call them (USAA) back. I called USAA from my contacts instead. They found no issues with my account. I gave them the number and they said it wwasn't one of their's. I Googled the number and found this site. Thank goodness I didn't call them back. SCAMMERS!

Got a call around 8am PST. called them back at 10am. Automated response was exactly the same as USAA's. It requested my pin, then connected me to an individual who wanted all the info off my driver's license, claiming that I was licensed in a different state (previous residence). They had my email, my last 4 SSN, my phone number, BEFORE I gave them anything. It was phishy, but they were smooth.

Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer (usual habit). They left a voicemail saying they were from USAA & needed to call them back right away at (877) 243-2678. Didn't look like any USAA number I've seen before in my 34 years of membership, so I called the Fraud Unit in San Antonio. Sending detailed information to them at Abuse@USAA.com.
