I was told that there was a civil case against me. They wanted to "reassure" me that it wasn't a violent or criminal offense. When asked what it was regarding, he said that he couldn't tell me. I asked the name of the company filing the complaint against me. He said there was a possibility of 4 different firms but couldn't tell me the names of either of them. I suggested looking it up on my county website if there was a civil case against me. He said it wouldn't be there because they only show criminal cases and I would have to pay to see the civil suits. I was told to call 888-246-4919 by the close of the business day or a case worker would have to come to offer me a summons for my day in court. I responded by saying that it was "now 7 pm, and you expect me to call now or else someone will be coming out to my house?" He said that he knew it was "unpleasant" and I promptly corrected him by saying that it wasn't just "unplesant, it's unprofessional." The call was then promptly ended.

something about a legal complaint and a civil case filed. I'll be served with a summons. Left this number to call with a case number. Makes no sense. Called, and they wanted to verify a SS number which I wouldn't do over the phone. They couldn't tell me anything about the case..really?
