They were calling me 6-8 times a day, never left a message. I called the 888-265-3609 number back to ask to be removed from their list, and they claimed to be Bank of America's mortgage department. They refused to stop calling me unless I gave them my name, phone number, address, and bank account number. That, on top of everything else, was highly suspicious, and I refused to give them any personal information.
IT IS A SCAM.
I called Bank of America's main customer service line, gave them the number, and it is NOT a legitimate part of Bank of America. I also called my wireless provider and had the number blocked. I am reporting them to the police. I suggest you do the same.
