The call is listed as "Telemarketer". They have called me a total of 29 times since the end of september looking for someone I have never heard of. I called them and explained to them that this was the case, but they continue to call.
The worst part is that, since I rarely make calls, I have signed up for one of those plans where you only have 100 minutes of outgoing calls (thank goodness all incoming are free). And as you probably know if you've found your way here, they say "if this is (whoever) please press one." and "if this is NOT whoever, please call us at..." So I am using my very few minutes calling a company that apparently never plans on giving up on calling me even though I don't have business with them.
What can be done? This should be illegal.

Do not pay these crooks a dime. There is nothing they can do to you. I was sued by them in Court and so I hired a consumer debt defense attorney in Buffalo and we easily beat their case saving me thousands of dollars.
If they try to make you pay by just harrassing you, just send them a cease communication letter. If Cavalry contacts you after receiving your letter, you can sue them under the FDCPA.
