Got the same con today and yesterday, I called him back and then he plays a collection. I cut him off and said I just called IRS, AND I WAS CALLING FOR HIS INFO FOR THEM... HUNG UP ON ME! BE ALERT AND PASS YOUR STORY EVERYWHERE.

Today, I just got two messages on my home phone from this asshole, purporting to be Steve Martin (perhaps he uses this name as a parody of the comedian Steve Martin, thinking he's being 'funny). He used my full name (not hard to find) and said there was an arrest warrant out for me, much like the other comments made here. Same MO. I looked him up immediately. How do we turn these creeps in? He got my adrenaline going and interrupted my work. I'm still trying to calm down ... These types of threatening phone calls should be treated as a felony. Harassment, at a minimum.

My lucky day. A call back from this scam artist not 30 minutes after his first call. Essentially the same short message about the U.S. Treasury's enforcement action. Again, no name given of who is the target of this alleged action. In closing he said "I'd like you to co-operate with us so that you can help us to help you." And, again, reciting his call back number twice. Persistent little creep.

My phone rang this morning with a call allegedly coming from Jacksonville, Florida. I did not recognize the calls source and let it go to my answering machine. A good choice. It was a scam call from "Steve Martin", now with a foreign accent ;^), stating the U.S. Treasury was filing an "Enforcement Action" and to call back. The caller politely recited his call back number twice to be sure I got it. He never stated any name this alleged action was being filed against. The call was quite short
