I have been receiving calls from some clown who says he is from Microsoft and that my computer is sending error message. This has been happening for several month.I decided to let them walk me through the fix without actually doing it. what they where trying to get me to do was open several ports in the computer. I think that this would have produced a whole that would have allowed them to bypass the fire wall. This begs the question for what purpose? No good that is for sure.

I just received a call 2x from an "Andrew", saying he was from Microsoft & that my computer was generating a virus. He was speaking with some sort of accent, he sounded like he was high as a kite. I asked to speak with his supervisor, a "Lindsay" got on the phone telling me the same thing. When I told her she was full of shit, she hung up. Then "Andrew" called me back, asking why I accused them of being a scam. Then said if I didn't follow their instructions, they'd revoke my software license with MS. When I told him that I have my degree in Computing Security & Tech and that I'd know if my computers were doing anything if the sort, he hung up on me. These clowns need to have some kind of idea who they're talking with before they try to scam someone.

Caller warning me that my computer has serious issues. Hard to understand; he had an Indian accent. Wanted me to tell him what type of computer I have, I insisted that he tell me his phone number so I could verify that he is from Microsoft. He said "Ma'am I think you are not interested in fixing the problem" and he hung up

Claims my PC is reporting "serious errors", press 1 to speak with a Microsoft Certified Engineer. This is the same scam as when they called in person except now they have a robo caller to make it possible to reach more targets for their scam. Computers do not report errors to "their servers". Microsoft does not proactively monitor your PC. Other than malware or viruses, nothing legitimate will broadcast your data. These parasites just upped their game. Shut them down.
