Tried to trick me that this was a call from Microsoft and that they had detected security problems.

Answered although I didn't recognize the number. Got a recording saying that my computer was sending out a lot of error messages and that I should hold for Microsoft technical support. Obviously a scam. I've dealt with these people before. They try to get remote access to your computer and if you do it you're toast. MS would never call anyone unsolicited like that. Block them.
