Stated he was from the IRS. I asked specifically if he was representing the US govt, Internal Revenue Service Dept. He said yes. I reiterated the phone and his number. *69 indicated this was the number calling-866-792-2921. Sounded fishy. Had heavy Indian accent and I could hear other calls in background. It's impossible to speak to live person at either local or fed IRS offices. My local police department indicated this is a scam and the calls often don't even come from the US, just routed through.
