This is an elaborate scam where you get a job with them and they send you a counterfeit check to purchase software for the job.

They interviewed me and hired me the same day. I was told I'd be sent a check to purchase software, gave my address. I did receive a cashiers check within two days. I got suspicious after I told the hiring manager I was going to deposit it, he asked which bank I have, and he was relentless with the questions, are you done yet, where are you, why aren't you doing as instructed. Also I have check deposit on my mobile, I must have tried ten times, and it kept giving me a deposit error. I called the issuing bank and verified the check was a fake. Luckily before I was stupid and deposited it, I don't have $2,470 to cover it (in case you were wondering how much)
