I called and the woman (Angel) identified herself but not the company. She also thought that she called me and told me that I was eligible for a sizeable health benefit since I have diabetes. I remained quiet and she asked me if this were so. I answered, "No." She then mentioned my blood clot. Again, I remained quiet and the previous scenario repeated itself. She apologized and hung up. I blocked the number anyway since they called yesterday but no one identified themselves or even spoke...simply hung up. The number that called yesterday was 530-625-3062.

If your health care provider uses a digital record system it may be plugged into the ObamaCare database, to which the caller may have access. Even if your doctor doesn't give info directly to ObamaCare he may give it to other "services" who are not bound by confidentiality and who may give your info to most ANYONE! Read carefully any information release you're asked to sign by your health care provider! You are NOT REQUIRED BY LAW to sign the release, and they are NOT ALLOWED to refuse you service for not doing so. You also may REVOKE any such release you've already signed.
The call you reported came from Hoopa, CA near Willow Creek. A number of calls from this number were reported in Jan 2016, and it appears they're soliciting for several "clients" - check the reports filed with 800notes.com. Where they get personal info on the folks they call, and to whom they're passing it on, is up for grabs.
NEVER call back anonymous solicitors - it will confirm your phone number as active and they'll make sure you get more calls. Blocking their number won't help - they just call from another number.
If you're a member of AARP or your health plan uses the services of United Health Care, your records may be available to both the ObamaCare system and a number of health care providers who are "joined at the hip" with ObamaCare, who will try to sell you their services and who will have specific info on your health issues.
The call you describe sounds suspiciously like a come-on for an ObamaCare "provider" - and if you object to a federal agency having access to your medical records and control over your medical treatment, just hanging up on such calls is a good idea.
You shouldn't call back any unidentified medical care service provider in any case, and should not give ANY personal information or even identify yourself to any solicitor! Guaranteed they'll share it with others, and you'll get more calls!
