These people called in Jan. We made payment arrangements and then thought better of it and called and requested written verification of the case to show the validity of the case. We never received papers in the mail. Now they are calling again threatening to serve papers, take us to court, and garnish wages. This is a scam!!!!! Don't fall for it. This debt is a debt from the 1990's they cannot legally collect it but they will give you a spew about a civil case being able to be collect whenever. Other numbers that they called from were 888 958 7668, and 314-666-8211. Other names we heard and talked to were Melinda Johnson, and Wallace.

This person calls leaving a message to call from number 214-272-2123, and leaves a message for me to call a number that I couldn't understand, so I called the 214 number some lady answered very unprofessional and would not answer any of my questions so Ihung up the phone and called back and had another person answer and she knew my name. I asked to speak to John Spencer, and was told no, when I why not, she said it was because she said no. I advised her if I do not talk to him I am report this scam to the authorities. Then today I got another call from this John Spencer this time giving me the 8882788565 number, but call came from 2142722123, which is a cell phone locate in Grand Prairie area of Dallas, TX so I called it this time the just keep ringing and I hung up after 40 rings..

Another scumbag collection agency illegally telling people they are in trouble and are about to be sued. THIS IS ILLEGAL.
Auto-dialed calls violate the TCPA. 3rd party debt collectors cannot sue. This threat violates the FDCPA

Fax them a cease and deist letter. Their auto-dialed calls are a violation of the telephone consumer protection act.
If you want to have a little fun and have the spare time, sue them locally for violation of that law.
888-794-2763 Is the number you can also always get an actual person to answer. That way you can call and harrass them as much as you want to.
It will clog up their call center and anger them greatly.

Ditto with Jack's comments. same issue, gave me 48 hours to call them back or they would send info to my county for legal action. The initial call came in from 704-746-9645 located in Mooresville, NC. I called that number back and got some dude that answered as Arbitration Resolution. I believe it is a scam because this happened to me about 5 years ago with a company from Atlanta that tried the same scare tactic. They were trying to collect on a debt that was over 7 years old and the statue had run out. I would say that what they are doing is extortion!
