Robot call, made on the pretext they'd corresponded with me. They hadn't, of course. The recording prattled on that I might be paying too much for my credit card debt, etc.

"To whom am I speaking?"
You called me on the pretext that we'd done business; you're supposed to know.

"Oh, it must have dialed a wrong number."
What's your company name?
"Consumer Debt."
So you've called me at a federally listed do-not-call number? And your trying to sell me stuff? Click.

called several times today starting at 8am
with no response on other end of line

finally at approx 4pm they called again

caller asked for household member by name
i did not acknowledge
and instead asked to speak to supervisor
called explained he WAS the supervisor
and when i insisted to speak to someone else heard several pulses as he punched in numbers into the handset
and then he disconnected the line

when researching the number
1. it cannot be completed
2. it does not exist (as the exchange is the same as the area code)
