I received a call. The woman stated she was from the "city" and they were going to serve a summons and wanted to verify my information also that I could call this number 877-571-5190 and find out what the papers were about and she would hold off for three hours while I did that, and they would give me the number to call her back?
Well obviously this company answers the phone as "corporate offices" they are calling you and scaring you with a lawsuit and getting you to call them back. This debt is from 2003 and the statute for collection has run they are violating so many collection laws it is crazy!! Call the FTC Hotline and report them @ 877-382-4357 also call you state Attorney General office. As soon as possible you can verify if they have or have not actually filed any kind of suit...I suspect they have not and it is illegal for them to trick you into calling them and once you inform them that the statute has run they cannot sue you.

this # called my house 1 time left a msg that said my name & adrees had a case# if i dont call back in 24hrs that i will be served with papers at home & at work. Also they keep on calling my work, buging them telling my work if i dont call back that i will be served that day , no one came out to serve me. I cant get calls at work. When i call that # they say "corporat offices" they dont even give a name. they also sad that i have court in 10days. i look it up online with the case# that they give me it wasnt a match also i put my name there wasnt anything lisnt for court. they need to stop calling. thanks
