The accent was Indian (from India). Said he wanted to talk to my son (who has not lived here for years). I told him this sounded illegal and to quit calling. He called again and I hung up on him but he was still on the line. I am so thankful for this site because these scammers are awful!!! They call and call and call. Then they threaten.

Said I had won $8,400; random drawing of US people who have paid taxes, have not filed bankruptcy, not a criminal in the last 6 months, etc. I asked them to mail me information about my winning; said he could NOT mail me any information. He asked me if I wanted the money - I said NO, and he hung up the phone. Called me from (202) 666-4933

They call and claim they are from the Department of the Treasury representing the IRS. They also claim you have a matter in federal court and a warrant has been issued for your arrest and you are going to jail unless you pay a certain amount of money.
