Got a call from them this afternoon claiming they needed to get in touch regarding claims/allegations. Voicemail left and retrieved in the evening. Very threatening sounding. Left this number and demanded a return call to give address at which claim can be presented. Strange, but the person they left the message for was not me. Caller ID says "withheld" for this call. I work for a very large law enforcement agency. Wonder which of my colleagues I'll be sharing this with in the morning...

They called back again on 09/30. Same M.O. In the meantime I contacted a local consumer advocacy group. They called this number and got an office in Fort Lauderdale that "handles claims from other firms" but didn't volunteer much else information. This is a definite scam. I have submitted a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and at the suggestion of the consumer advocacy group will also be reporting this to our local television station.
