I am on a DO NOT CALL LIST. Why am I continuing to get calls from unknown numbers. Is the DO NOT CALL LIST a scam also?
If, as one post states, Verizon has been aware of this number since 1999, why have they, as the providing service, not blocked this number YEARS AGE? TO PROTECT THEIR WELL PAYING CUSTOMERS?
Really, what are we paying for?

Got a call from this number 767-275-9190 Dominica at 11:49 pm. It only rang once and I did not answer it as I was asleep. I researched this number & found that this is a scam where someone in the Carribean Islands or any other foreign country rings your phone late at night once or twice hoping to wake you and get you to call them back. Their goal is to keep you on hold for as long as possible while your phone bill accumulates charges in excess of $100. DO NOT RETURN THEIR CALL. Besides, if the call was really important they would have left a message.
Your cell phone company may not reverse the charges because your bill will now show that you legitimately called them. Verizon has been aware of this scam since 1999.

This number called my cell right after I refilled my phone with $50.00 ,I did not answer or call the number back .I called my cousin and as soon as I finished my call with her I laid my phone down ,10 seconds later my phone lit up and automatically called 767-275-9172 the same number that called me earlier .The number calls you and hacks your phone before you answer it and installs a virus that makes your phone call the number back AFTER you finish your next call and takes all of you minutes from your account, and by making your phone call the number back you can't get your minutes back because the phone company says you called the number and its in your phone that the call was made.

Second call this week with the same scam. Different phone number and name on my called ID, but the same BS. Thick accent and stumbling over his name "Clyde". Calling about my computer and issues with it. Told him it was a scam, I was reporting it to the Do Not Call site and attorney general. Told him "good-bye" and hung up.
