I received a call from a Private number informing me that I am eligible for a $9000 grant from the Federal Government. In order to get the money I had to call 315-791-7097. Before I called however I performed a search of the number and discovered that it is a number based out of the Ontario, New York area and it doesn't appear that it is connected with the Federal Government at all. Others have reported that the number is simply a scam and in order to receive the grant you must first pay an up front fee. As most people will tell you nothing in life is free and it appears that this is simply a scam.
Eric Warman of the Federal Government Grants Department called me back (he was the same person who initiated the call) and prompted me to call this number. After grilling him for further information which he wouldn't provide I hung up on him.
