This company called regarding an old debt. The called my sister-in-law and my boss and claimed to be the commonwealth of VA and that I was bouncing checks all over town (lie) and that I would be arrested at work (lie) if I did not call back in an hour. I set up a payment plan out of duress and then filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau CFPB. Their strong arm tactics are against the law and I urge everyone to fiel a complaint against this company.
When I asked who would be getting my money to pay of the debt the repsonse was very vague, I had to repeat myself several times and the man I was speaking to kept saying I am just a mediator trying to help you set up payments. I told him I have given you my bank info for payments yet I know nothing about the company getting my payments. He finally said they were getting my payments and that they had bought the paper for my debt. They did not provide a breakdown of the debt and how they arrived at the Total of $1400.They also would not provide the address of the company nor is there a website. On the payment plan they did provide an address in Wyoming but when I goodle that their company does not come up as listed at that address. He said it was not safe to say where they were and that they had agents all over the country. The information they had regarding the original debt, my old checking account and ss# was correct.
I spoke with an Attorney and they said what they did breaks several laws and if they can be found I can sue them.
I do owe this debt but the original debt was not to them and if they can not provide complete info and who is being paid plus threating arrest and lying about bouncing checks all over town I will not pay hemt another dime. Plus their payment plan was not doable.
I am doing everything in my power to find and sue this company for harrasment at work.

Scammer that is threatening of an unsettle debt and will harrass or threaten to try and get your bank account information or credit card # in order settle your fake debt now so you don't have to go to court.
Keep asking questions about their company and ask for physical address or paperwork in writing, it really pisses them off.
