The caller left a message saying that a legal investigation had been initiated against me. They said it was urgent that I call them back. I did not, as similar scams had been reported on Google, specifically in the Washington Post.

Same as Olindha.Indian accent guy left two messages. Warned that I would be arrested in half hour because I didnt pay federal taxes. He knew my address and told that IRS sent two letters that I never received. Called him back and never picked the phone. SCAMM!!

Today, I spoke with a pseudo name person with an east-indies accept. Claiming that legal charges were filed against me and that prison terms and police will follow.
I'm my humble opinion that Is not how our FBI , nor IRS or for that matter local police department operates. I googled that number and it is linked to a telemarketing firm in Tampa FL.
Shame -- what a waste of time. I'm not sure what is their goal short of scaring you and stealing money or identification from you.

Caller left a message on my cell. Spoke terrible English! Said he was a federal investigator and someone has a legal case filed against me. That I must call back and if they don't receive call from me, they "will be forced to transfer case to courthouse and proceed in legal way." What a bunch of crap to receive on Mother's Day weekend!!!

I received a call from 202-350-2416 from a officer James Kirk of the Federal Investigation Department. He was saying that there is a warrant issued in my name because of some outstanding tax issues. When I asked him about his department and that there is no such department, he got nervous and provided some other official sounding numbers. He also said that I'd need to sign some papers and send them back and that police will come and talk to me more about this. At that point I said I'll talk to the police when they come and hung up.
