I received a call from some person who called himself Jack Smith. He told me he worked with a Federal Law Enforcement Agency in New York City. He had a middle eastern accent and I could barely understand him. He told me I had a loan out with Cash Now USA and an arrest warrant was being issued for my arrest if it wasn't paid. He called me 26 times over a 2 day period, about every half hour. He kept insisting I give him a time frame when I would call him back with payment information. Because I had a few outstanding payday loans I thought he was legitimate and paid him. I realized later that was a mistake. After I paid him with a money pak he wanted me to fax copies of everything to him. He called me the next day and told me I had more files charged against me from another company and I would again be arrested if I didn't get him the money in half an hour. I tried to get information out of him such as why was he calling me from New York when I lived in Florida. He said he was an attorney for the Federal Government and they handled cases all over the country. I started to get suspicious from this second phone call because I thought it was more than a coincidence that I would have more charges filed against me the next day. I told him I was referring the matter to my attorney and to never call me again. As I was hanging up I heard him say "What's the problem?" He called me back within seconds and asked why I hung up on him. This person was very abusive and belligerent. He yelled at me the whole time and wouldn't let me tallk. When I asked him questions he was very vague with answers and only reiterated I would be arrested if I didn't pay.
