Wanted to offer a free update to our home security system; thought they said they were with GE. We're with Safe Security now and they wanted to beat their price "with free installation"... just like all the other home securities are 'free installation' followed by monthly charges and almost never used.

Offered me a free alarm system. Was interested for a property I own so continue the call, transferred to a technician who briefly explained the services but was more interested to have my cell phone number, birthdate, and ages of my kids... That's when I hung up! Seemed like quite a scam!!!

Individual (male) called my mother, stated he was from GE and immediately starting asking questions: do you have a smoke detector?; fire extinguisher?; security lock?; own your home?; Afterwards my mother stated she was no longer answering questions about the survey and he needed to call someone else. Mother stated he was extremely rude and demanded she complete the survey if he has to bother her and call her every 5 minutes...... she then hung up. I PERSONALLY AM A GE CAPITAL EMPLOYEE and do not want people of this nature representing the company in this manner. My mother initially answered these questions because they represented themselves as "GE", my employer. She called me immediately at work and stated this should be reported immediately.
