You can tell she was scripted him not so much. I called back out of curiosity and they remabled my husbands name, birthdate and last four of his social. When I tried to ask her any questions she told me I wasn't him and to pass the message along. I said no and she said fine I'll just forward the case and said something I didn't understand. So Yes, I believe this to be a scam especially when we've recieved nothing in the mail and the number they called from and I called back is listed for alot of different calls, vacations, loans, IRS so um yeah. Be careful and use your head! Let your loved ones know because some people fall for this scam stuff.
