IRS allegedly

As a tax pro, I can tell you the IRS does not usually call to inform you that a lawsuit has been filed against you. There is usually a lot of correspondence first and then what is known as A NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE A LIEN OR A LEVY. This person who I called sounded Pakistani and did not follow the usual IRS protocol of name and Badge number etc. But to hear a voice mail that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against you is very un nerving!

Heavily accented called indentified himself as bring from IRS. I said Yeah, sure. and hung up. IRA does not generally contact tax payers via phone. Beware.
