I received an email this morning, from an ivory Gayle, reporting to be from the Thompson legal group acting on behalf of ACS. The email threatened legal action. No specific details were provided. The FBI has issued a press release mentioning related scam attempts. Per the press release, I filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Center,notified my local sheriff, contacted the state attorney general's office, and contacted my financial services institution. I have been advised by all parties to never respond to such emails. This number was listed on the email as the contact phone number.
