Received 2 calls from this number today, July 5th, from a John Turner, needing to serve one of our employees some papers regarding a formal claim he received today on his desk on behalf of some other company, and it was the same story for both calls received but for 2 different employees. In no moment during the call did the caller state his company's name, I had to call the 1-888-630-1764 to check the name, 'Global', the phone rang, rang, and rang for a while without anyone answering. They wanted to talk with the employees' supervisor, for which we don't allow such thing for any of our employees' personal business matters. The guy was a real jerk and wanted to speak to Human Resources to find out our company's policy regarding this issue, and need to contact the employees before coming in to our offices to serve the formal order... I guess they must be hard of hearing cause I clearly stated that all personal matters need to address during our employees' own time. He gave me a reference number to use when the employees call then back, which I did not take down, as this clearly sounds like a scam. Don't let this people fool you, I have dealt with plenty of scammers and this is just another payloan scam, probably from people applying for loan through Advanced Cash advances.
You have a right to not provide them with any information, and if they are willing to go to your job or home to formally served you, well let them and just be waiting with the police on the other side of your door. All companies have policies regarding this.
You can also filled a formal complaint with the FBI and Better Business Bureau. As I have done so for plenty of Scamming Companies.

This person has called four members of my family claiming he was pursuing a debt collection. When I questioned how he obtained my unlisted number he refused to answer and I asked again he again said something else and hung up on me.
If this is a legit company they should be willing to answer your questions.
