THESE PEOPLE ARE NEVER WHO THEY SAY.
They are likely a telemarketing mill getting you to agree to an appointment, and they then sell your lead to a company or person completely unknown to you.... like them.
WORST CASE is they are the contractor (not in this case) in which case they are willing to lie and steal to get your business... and you will be lied to and stolen from.
What recourse do you have? NONE, because the people that called you never gave you any real information. It is possible that the person who shows up at the door is presenting false info also.
