I kept getting calls from this number and they never left a message. I answered the last time and the person said they worked for the US Government and that I was eligible for a free grant but when I asked if she could send me an email with some information she just sighed rudely and hung up. Sounds like a scam.

These people are calling me about a loan I just paid. They are complete scammers. It is a "collection agency" that is using scare tactics to collect on debt that is already been paid on. They are using a fake name and are threatening jail time and warrants and people coming to my house. They are NOT a law firm. They are a collection agency. I'm not even answering these scum bags anymore.

First off, the post from G. Fernandez is IDENTICAL to the one I just read on www.800notes.com; so I wouldn't really put any faith in that particular response. I truly believe that this is a scam.I have been receiving calls from them periodically for the last year or so. I have NEVER returned a call to them as they seemed to be a little sketchy in the way they do business. This time, however, they somehow tracked down my partner's number and called HIS phone asking for me. THAT is ridiculous and illegal in my opinion. I saw that they appear to be a legally licensed debt collector in Colorado...well, I don't live in CO and never have. I have not idea what debt I would owe considering that my last credit report was clean. So, I'm not returning the phone call to Maria @ 866-664-6473 any time today or in the future. I have no intention of doing any business with them at all.

I received a call from this woman (Maria) who said she's from Avalon Lending Solutions and that I'm eligible to get a $10,000 loan only that I need to pay $700 collateral first to be sent via western union. I almost believed her but good thing I didn't. Number a certified scammer.
