I receive 2-3 daily calls from a voice recording identifying itself as Nationwide in "an attempt to collect a debt" for a person who does not live here. Said calls occur at all hours of the day and night. I have called repeatedly to have my number removed from the database, but there is only silence on the line. I will be filing an FCC complaint and contacting the Illinois Attorney General.

collection agency Nationwide looking for a person not living with me DA operator was told to remove my number and don't contact me again per outline in Collection act still became insistent that my number was left for reference.this was left. without my knowledge or consent . Tried to explain do not call me again but still keep flappin her mouth just hung up. Better not call back again will start proceeding against Nationwide who she was reperesenting

He says he is a locator for Nationwide, when in reality he is a debt collector. Not sure what debt (he will never say-only ask for money) neither will he provide an address. Says he can only accept money via debit card purchased from Walmart.

Mr. Patrick was very rude and seemed not care if this debt had.already been paid. He threaten to deliver lawsuit papers and press charges against me.

Calling for someone else to collect a debt. I've had my number for 10 years, so if they guy they're looking for is using my number, I'm peeved.

Received a call on my cell phone demanding to speak with my wife. When I asked why, I was told there were "charges" pending against her, and the caller had "paperwork" to "deliver" to her personally. I challenged him of course, for his identity, at which he only gave his first name "Adam" and refused any further information. I told him to basically go to hell, and demanded to know what company he worked for. Finally he gave me the name of Nationwide and the phone number 888-521-2153 to call. He also gave me a "case number." Funny how he had all this info all along, huh? I called the 888 number, gave the case number, and was connected to a "Johnny Marcos." They told me they couldn't talk with me without my wife's permission. To make a long story short, she gave her permission, they told us that this was for a payday loan from 2007, which had already been discharged in bankruptcy. They had my bankruptcy case info also, but ignored it! These guys are bottom-feeding collection agents, their threats of arrest and prosecution are PHONY (you can't be arrested for a civil claim, only a criminal case) -- avoid them like the plague they are. Another name: "Andre Johnson." They are all D-I-C-K-S, and LIARS. They refused to give their company address, they identified themselves as a law firm, which are all FDCPA violations! If anyone here can get an address for Nationwide, please list it. Otherwise your only recourse is your state's Attorney General.
