Last month, a fast-talking woman from "Performant" alleged to have already spoken with a specific person here. When I asked what her call was in reference to, she named this company. I requested more details, and she replied, “A business matter.” Well, no kidding to both. I put her on hold for a few seconds, then offered to take a message. She said that she’d phone back later and hung up. I researched the number on Caller ID and found Performant Financial Corp/Diversified Collection Services, an agency with many complaints against it.

I don't know who this is and they are calling me at my work. My company does not allow people that are trying to get information about me or any other worker to call and try to get different people to give out information. I want this to STOP.

Update: Tricia Halla from Performant has been harassing one of our employees, who told me: "It’s actually a collection agency for a bill due from [department], and I believe I spoke with somebody there at some point, which is probably how she had my name. These agencies are NUTS and relentless." I know; I temped at one for three days, along with a fellow who normally drove for a friend’s car service while unemployed. We were hired to reduce the data entry material that had piled up. Between the abuse heaped on their victims and the yelling and swearing among the staff, one day my associate and I stopped typing and looked at each other. He said, “Do you have the feeling that these people just got out of jail?”
