I activated my CC and was transferred to a person for a $100 gift card. He said he was with the "Rewards Center National Advisors" from Charlottesville, VA. He read off the all the places I could use the card and a statement about being monitored by the Better Business Bureau and some other regulation. When I asked to see his companies information on line, he again read the form. He wanted my name, address, and to charge my credit card $5. Again, I asked for the information in writing. He proceeded to get loud and tell me I haven't let him finish. He read again the same statement. I said I don't want it read to me I want to read it. He began yelling at me, telling me I wasn't paying attention that I would receive all that information after I gave him my CC number. In a calm voice, I said, I will not be giving you my CC until I can get that information. Please give me the information first and I will gladly give my CC number. He then yelled that I no longer qualified for the program and had lost a $100 and hung up on me.
