Thank you so much for the information I just got the same call today about a loan from them and they would not give me any information, they were rude, they hung up in my face. They would not tell any information regarding the "case" , they threatened to summon me if I didn't pay and I am very glad I didn't fall for it

I thank you so very much for your information. I was so relieved to see that I was not the only one.
I received a few calls from Statewide ADR. I was told that they were not a collection agency but were an attorneys office. I was not allowed to receive any documents related to the debt that they say I owe. I talked to a woman at first and I refused to make a payment and hung up. Within a few minutes a man at the same number called stating he was her supervisor. His name is Ryan William. I again refused to make a payment.
The following day I received a call from a new # spoke to a woman who refused to give her name stating she was with Statewide ADR. She was notifying me that I was going to be served a court summons and I needed to have 2 IDs ready for the processor.
I obtained a copy of all 3 of my credit reports. The debt that they say I owe is not there. ( mainly because I never had it)
It is a good thing that I am a very patient lady. I am still waiting to be served.
Is there an official office or person that I can report the company to?
Thank you again
:)

I have done collections for over 8 years and although i know its not good to not pay bills, i understand things happen. However this company is going to face some serious lawsuits. They obviously have no idea what the FDCPA is in place for. They called my sister and left on her voicemail (unverified that it was me) stating it was charges that i was being served for in texas??? When called them back it was in fact for a loan that i disputed many years ago that i took out with advanced cash in 2009. I spoke to a young lady who was not the smartest when i advised i could only pay a small percentage she shut me down stating they wont take it.....I stood y ground she said i was yelling and put me on hold (mind you no mini miranda was stated and they didnt explain any laws that "if" i was going to court what it would be for) when i got back on the line a gentleman name "Nick" got on the line....very rude when i advised that he wont speak to me like that and he is violating fdcpa he stated "well whatever i hope you get served and go to court" and hung up. If i was to go to court and take a recording of him saying that I would have won my case period. They are a call center out of New York with no legal liscense to persue anyone. what they were not aware of is that the statute of limitations is there toprotect me from any legal action (SC statute if 3 years for any written and open end loan as well as credit cards) they dont state the mini miranda and they did send someone to my relatives house which the police had to be called because he would not identify himself when my aunt spoke to him through the door. this company buys old loans and uses "the law" as a scare tactic....DO NOT fall for their game its old school collecting. here are a few things to verify if a company is legit 1. They have 30 days of receipt of the debt thre bought to let you know who to contact so it can be resolved. 2. when making initial verbal contact they have another 30 days to respond in writing the information they have on you to resolve. 3. although they dont Have to give first and last name, The supervisor has to or anyone in legal, they are also supposed to give title and liscense number to verify they have authorization to collect in your state. Ask to be put on do not call list and by law they have to obide.
