I was contacted by an unknown number who advised i had a complaint filed against me and would not disclose any other information. He then gave me this number to call and when I did I found out it's a law firm specializing in credit card debt. It's legit.
Side note- they didn't call me. Just reviewing this number in case anyone has questions about it like I did.

originally I was called from unavailable and the woman I spoke to give me another phone number to call and I spoke to a Vanessa she took my credit card information said we should withdraw 200 and next month she would withdraw the balancesupposedly I had a civil case with the court but I was never served and I don't know if these people are legitimate

This is a spam number. A 'Vanessa' from Vehicle Processing Services called with detailed information on what typer of car we drive & that our warranty is expiring. She was trying to sell extended warranty. When asked how she got my details, her reply: from DMV. I called DMV to clarify and they said they don't do such services and will make a report.

Debt collectors posing as a law firm. they will call your friends, family n neighbors in an attempt to embarrass you to get you to give them money. Just ask to stop calling and they have to by law. they claim to have a case pending against you and they are breaking the law, according to california law,they can’t threaten you with a lawsuit unless they actually intend to file one.
