A man called claiming my personal device was being hacked through my Yahoo account. He was hostile and began yelling fear-inducing words, along with IT information that was nonsensical, when I asked for his name to call him back to authenticate the call. I looked him up instead.

I want to see if this was a legit call because they were talking about my email address caring an internet infection, and that I needed to gain access to my computer in order for them to help remove the infection.

Ad photo was on customer board for Yahoo problems. Took over my PC. When I asked him about the #on internet as a scam, he hung up.
I think he deleted my Avast and other protection software.
