Chris said I had expressed interest in a job online,, I am unemployed and am doing job searches online so I don't know if he found me from a job board but it was definitely a scam.
It was a live person I believe but I'm not sure as he was responding to me but also had a robotic type voice.
He hung up after I told him I wasn't comfortable telling him my birthdate,, then I called right back,, told him I was a bit pissed and he hung up again,, the third time it rejected my call

I googled the company and came upon this site. Definitely a scam, not many companies verify information over the phone, that's what interviews are for.
Be careful people, Identity Theft isn't something to fool with!!

This call came through my cellphone. I do not answer calls not listed in my phone book. If they really want to get ahold of me they'll leave a message. They didn't leave one but I was curious as I remembered that I sent out a job resume, so I called the number and Answered WN Positions and said I applied online for a online...which I did not. I hung up immediately.

While they did not leave a message, I did call them back and found It is a career placement agency. A recording said I had recently inquired online about job opportunities (which is true). You can press 1 to speak to someone about positions or to be removed, you can press 9 and you will be asked to enter your phone number to be removed from their database. So I pressed 1 to see what it would do. i got one of those recordings that ask questions. They wanted to know my name, address, birthday - I wouldn't give the month & day, just the year & they hung up on me. At the beginning of the the questions, they said "Hi, Im Chris from Employment Group. I googled it. If you go to EmploymentGroup.com - it says "We apologize for those of you who are receiving robo-calls from a company named WN Positions. Please know that EmploymentGroup is in no way affiliated with WN Positions . . ." SO - THIS IS NOT A LEGIT CALLER!

You'll need to watch your credit information.
Likely, with your phone number, your name, your birthdate, whether you are a US citizen, whether you are military, they can apply for certain things in your name. They'll use your phone number to get your address. They'll do a complete check of you on Facebook and other social media looking for clues about your life. And they'll wait a couple of months and then they'll start trying to steal your identity. "Chris" is not a human. Those long pauses are the speech-to-text processing in the Artificial Intelligence routine. Chris is a computer program. A very clever one.

now shows in Buffalo, NY. I fell hook, line and sinker too late. Chris said I had applied for a position in Orlando, which I had! – several Business Analyst types no clue on sites. Because I had applied to these 3 days earlier I was a prime subject. I had used my Verizon cell on application form online where he called. Chris sounded like a recruiter with the questions he asked (having worked for several for 20 years and all were super nice and great with candidates) but Chris seemed hurried and almost curt at times but there was laughter in there, but I let him lead. He even stopped his questioning at one point and said was I recollecting what I had applied for. I didn't want to knock myself out of a job and the questions seemed acceptable for me to reply based on how they were asked. After questions like “Am I looking for PT or FT”, “how far a commute choice”, etc. he said I met preliminary questions. He had me verify best phone numbers and address which I did and best time. Birthdate, I can’t recall if he did or not but I know I would’ve questioned it but no SS or anything like that which would’ve sent a red flag so it seemed legit for employment. Continued with other employment questions, “Asked would I consider going back to school for a few months and I said "no" is a 4 yr not enough, he said, No, it’s fine. Ok, so the next phase, you'll hear from an agent in 48 hrs via telephone. When I tried to reiterate what was to occur and his name, call ended. Of course, nothing occurred until today, my hubby missed the call on his cell. So smarter this time.

I also sent a full co to the State Attn Office with all my posts and copy of complaint to BBB. Lets get Chris and Joseph. If anyone needs help or advise on this can email me at cave104@yahoo.com. I am out to get Chris and Joseph, not to scam people. I gonna see them pay for this BS!

I had the same thing. I called them several times just to play their game which I had alot of fun. They asked me for my name and I told them " Bitch You Dead" and they believed it! LOL. Then a few hours later they called me again and I had a whistle and the moment they started talking I blew it as hard as I could in the phone and they hung up, but then in a few minutes they called back and I did it again, I had fun. They called seval times again and I kept doing it. I also went on the BBB web sight and reported this scam. I also printing out phone records and going to the State Attn Office to file a complant on them. I hope everyone will do the same to stop this Bullshit and get them hopefully in jail/and/or court.
