Same problem here. These people called 3 times now on 2-7-14 6.25am, 1.27pm, and 9.15pm. The last one I picked up since they left no voice mail the previous 2 times. It was a heavy African accent man speaking. Told me that he can repair my credit for free, because my score slipped down from fair to poor credit. (my score was good and still is).
All I needed to do was just to give him my SSN and date of birth. I was pretty upset with his argumentative talk and so I told him that I don't even have a credit score and therefore it could not slip. He argued that EVERY American has a credit score.
I told him to take me off his calling list to which he said no. His country does not have to follow the national call list. After these 15 minutes of annoyance, he hung up on me. Sorry I became a bit rude myself towards the end.

Wanted to reduce the interest card on my credit card, but couldn't tell me which card or complete number. In fact, he wanted me to give him my credit card number which I wouldn't too. He got sort of agitated and kept saying that it was completely safe and I didn't need to give him my three digit security number. I finally hung up. Beware folks.

Calling in regards to my "loan application". I am in Canada. Today was the first day I've had a call like this and so far, since 6:30am Pacific time, I've had 8 different calls, all from different numbers. They are calling my cellphone number, which is my only contact number.
I enter a lot of contests, so that could be where they've got my number from, but I have no idea how to stop the calls. I've put my number on a Do Not Call national list in Canada, but that could take 31 days to register. Other than just disconnecting the calls when they come in, I'm not sure what else to do.

Got a call from 253-236-2391 (Kent, WA) - Recorded message said that "someone from this phone number had ordered a medical alert bracelet" and that "it was already paid for" and "we need the right address". THIS IS A SCAM - They are fishing for your personal information or they are sending out medical alert bracelets to people who don't need them and then getting reimbursed from some federal program that pays for it out of our tax dollars- Either way it is a SCAM!!!!! Do not give them any of your information. Try to obtain their name and address and forward to the Washington State Attorney General Office as well as you own state's AG office. These are deceptive practices at the very least that take advantage of our Senior Citizens and You- the hardworking American by way of government cronyism.
