Received call saying that I was having Microsoft issues with my computer. I told him I did not receive any notifications from Microsoft. That's when he said he was looking in my computer and saw these problems. That's when I hung up and added the number to my block call list.

Individual sounded like a male with an Indian, Pakistani accent.

Smile on the phone, when you smile the tone of your voice changesTake notes!! As the ceilnt is talking make sure you are writing down what they are saying. If they have to repeat several points, they may feel you are not paying attention. Note taking will also help you with your first meeting. It will allow you to prepare with pictures, colour swatches, fabrics, flowers etc…Sure this doesn’t mean they are going to go with exactly what you are showing them at the meeting, but it does show that you are just as excited over their event as they are. Another great thing about samples is that most brides are visual & touchy feely, and it gives you a jumping off point.Going out of your way! We meet a lot of our ceilnts at the venue they have chosen for their event. As it is our job to transform the venue it’s easy for us to imagine the completed room. Remember that because they have a vision for their day doesn’t mean they can see how it can all come together. Or how the venue they’ve chosen can be transformed to the vision they have. It’s your job to show them it can be done.Ask the open-ended questions. This will give the ceilnt time to explain what they want and you’ll have a better feel for who they are. Do not rush the ceilnt on the phone…Always end the phone conversation with, I/we are really looking forward to meeting you and discussing your event in more detail. And like Preston mentioned, thank them.My ceilntal does not have the budgets that a lot of you or Preston may work with, but I believe the fundamentals of getting the bookings are the same. Good luck!!

My husband got a call two days ago from Microsoft about our computer but he is hard of hearing and the call ended quickly enough.

I googled the number after being told about the call and read Franks comments this morning.

About an hour ago I received a call,it was Microsoft, doing exactly as Frank suggested.

The guy went berserk after about 30 odd minutes!! I went through his 'process' continuously (I didn't even have the computer on!) but said 'yes I've did that' after being prompted to do x,y,z. You are doing something wrong! please follow my advice properly! it is very important you enter details properly! Haha!! he threw in the towel sadly but not after hopefully losing some money!

Some foreign lady called, saying she was from Microsoft. She said she received some errors from my computer and something about people using my information, etc etc. I told her she was full of sh*t and that I was going to report her. Twice she said to me that it was not a bull sh*t call. I told her twice I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I told her that she needed to have someone from my area that was American to call me or to transfer me to a supervisor. She said she would call me back in 5 minutes and hung up before I could fully respond. Tried calling the number back twice and it says that the number or code is incorrect.

Received a call at 6:50am saying my computer had been hacked from China and we needed to take immediate measures to secure my computer. Her name was Jack Peterson (Ha), Indian I presume from Microsoft. While on the phone with Jack I was researching to see if this was a scam. Finally when I told Jack that Microsoft would not call me for this type of issue. She said "F&@# You!" and hung up. Don't fall in the trap. They are scammers!

I often receive those calls. A man with an Indian accent. Stating they are with microsoft. One time it was right after my husbands computer was attacked. I believe he spoke to the person and accepted an email. Then they wanted money to fix the problem. Again to day I get another call and I asked to be taken off their list and hand up. Seconds later, I get another call, same person this time saying sexual provers things. hate these calls! anyone know how to make them stop?!

Received a call from a Robin Johnson (that's the name he gave me).
Said all computers had a virus and he wanted to get on my computer so he could show me my problems. No, I don't know a lot about computers but I sure as heck was not going to give him access to mine with no proof as to who the heck this persistent foreign talking, can't understand person is. I requested to talk to a better speaking English person and he said no one was available. Told him to take me off his calling list and hung up. Googled the phone #...this is a scammmmmmmm!

Caller identified himself (in thick Indian accent) as a Microsoft Employee ID Number mw236#41
and stated that my system had been sending Microsoft error messages. Which is improbable because I know I turned off error reporting for my computer. He had me go in to the "dcomcnfg" menu to show me the errors and had me attempt to delete some of them. When I couldn't delete them he wanted me to connect to his "...secure server so I can do it for you while you watch..." When I said that I wouldn't and I was going to contact Microsoft directly to resolve the issues he stated that I shouldn't because Microsoft had moved its service department to New York and Redmond couldn't help me. He doesn't know I'm from that area and have a couple friends on the tech team. Ha Ha Ha!! Dumbass!
